But hey we get kick ass gas mileage. Maybe 2 gen I'd like to see a dual clutch type of tech Toyota could pull off on the twins that would be interesting a rival to PDK. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Or even I forgot to add the RC-F 8 speed I don't see why not Toyota loves to trickle tech down anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I believe part of the goal is to keep these cars under $30k. While it's certainly possible that maybe Toyota may trickle down the tech, I think by then it'll also push the cost of it higher as well.

QFT. Also, it's easy to forget that many of the higher HP performance cars around 30K share platforms, tooling and factories with other cars in their parent stable (like GMs Alpha platform that the 2016 Camaro, Cadillac ATS, and CTS use). Costs are spread over volumes that the 86 will never touch. So for other MFGs it's easier to offer more power & amenities for less cost. Whereas with the 86 Toyota and Subaru put the money where it counts (a truly dedicated sports car chassis) and left it up to the buyers to add power in the aftermarket.

Something else that could be fixed in the next generation if Subaru/Toyota chose to do so.
