Right headlight wont turn on

I have an HID kit from precision, . And noticed my right light was out. I at first thought faulty bulb.. but checked the outlet with a stock bulb, nothing. Tried other side, bulb worked fine. Should I take it this to the dealer?? Any ideas? No power coming from right headlight connector.

I didn't even have to open the thread before knowing it was HID related...do any of these kits ever go in without causing issues? Or is the issue always the installer?

Considering how many "help me fix my lighting after attempting to install HID" threads, I'm pretty sure if I ever desire to get them I will have someone do it for me.

Good luck, free bump. Oh, why the dealer? I'd pick a local shop over the dealer any day for stuff not under warranty. Dealers are for warranty work only.

ive had this kit on for over 5 months with no issues, one day the right headlight just went out. and now not even stock bulbs will work on that side, could it be a fuse? if so , is that located under the hood or side panel?

also reason i say dealer, is who knows what this could be?, the HID could have very well NOT been the issue, there for warranty work could be done.

.
The fuse is the first thing I would check. The socket would be the second and the wiring the third.

Your owners manual gives you a diagram/chart of which fuses control which circuits.....

Sorry, I can't be more help .... my car doesn't have HIDs.....

Unlikely it was the Fuse, if it was the fuse both headlights would be out. Check it anyways just to be sure, however most likely this is a connection issue somewhere. I'd venture a bet you have been drawing too much amperage through the wire and have a burned out pin on a connector somewhere under the hood.

@Matt90
there is 1 fuse to each headlight. Try swapping out the fuses and see if other light turns on. Fuse box is on left side of engine bay.

My right headlight fuse went out when I first installed the HID. I thought it was the faulty ballast, but new fuse fixed it.

Same here, My right headlight fuse went out. Changed the fuse and all was good.
