Its funny to hear that you think the JDM cars arent very reliable in comparison to their European counterparts! In the states, we tend to view domestic/euro cars as less reliable than the JDM cars. Just a funny observation haha!

Like your car though!

Well that depends on what you compare with A Civic or a Corolla are considered near-immortal over here too, since their engines run forever. But they also rust, a lot, since we have harsh winters and that goddamn salt we put on the roads to get rid of the ice buildup, which is really hard on steel. And since older Japanese cars doesn't have enough/good enough rust protection, they fall short compared to say a 90's BMW or Audi. They have their problems too, but even those engines last forever and they have better rust protection etc.

Or another example - you get the 2.4L KA24DE in your S13's, which is a truck engine without a turbo. Of course thats going to last a lot longer than the one we got in it from the factory, the 1.8L turbocharged CA18DET. That engine does not have a good reputation in this country.. For reasons that are both Nissan and the owners to blame. Find me one CA18 that hasn't had it's bearings replaced, I dare you. Mostly this is because S13s are pretty cheap, and is the perfect sports car for any teenager that recently got their drivers license. I mean affordable, turbo and RWD? It has it all.

Sure, my Imprezas haven't really given me any big problems, but I don't think I'll be buying a 90's Nissan again very soon

Alright, so a little update since last year..

The temporary Volk reps were sold when summer ended and the car went into storage. Also the HT Auto side skirts and rear spats.

This year I've upgraded to real Volk TE37SL's, 18x9.5 +45, with 265/35 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 on all corners. This was just after installing them:

At this point I had the TRD aero fins, front canards and side skirts laying at home, just not painted. Also the OEM rear diffuser and HT Auto v2 rear spats, plus the Seidoworks whaletail/rear wing! Finally got all those parts painted and installed recently, along with a proper alignment. Now running -2.5 degrees of camber in the front, and -1.5 in the rear. Close to zero toe all around.

Received my FP last Friday, but turns out they shipped a decat one, so now I have to wait some more I guess (ordered a catted one). But I couldn't run the stock header any longer, so I installed the ACE header and OP combo without the FP (stock for now), and flashed a very refined E85 tune, and it's fantastic. Car is much more fun to drive now, and the sound with the header and catback, oh I love it.

It drones quite a bit at ~3k RPM, especially when engine braking, but I can live with it. Not sure how much louder it'll get with a HFC FP though, time will tell.

Subscribed! Awesome, clean build. I bet this is a neck breaker in Sweden!

I'm rocking the same wheel/tire dimensions as you - what steps did you have to take to get it to not rub at the drop you're at? I assume you trimmed the rear bumper tab, but did you do anything to the front? I want to go a little bit lower, but I want to take the proper precautions before doing so.

Thanks!

Good thing you mentioned on reddit that you wrote here Missed it completely.

First off, thanks! I haven't touched my front fenders, haha. Rear, I didn't trim the tab either! I had rubbing on bumps in the rear at first, but I accidentaly (yep!) "rolled" my rear fenders. Lifted the car up in the front when installing my TRD skirts and canards, this pushed the wheels up in the wheelwells, making the inner edge fold in
