I really like that simple exhaust setup with the flex. I worry about my turbo downpipe, overpipe, and uppipe having no flex in it.

You definantly need a flex bit in an exhaust especially in a low car if its going to be hitting/scraping on things, my s13 kept blowing turbo flange gaskets (low mount turbo) i tried everything and soon as I put in a flex pipe it stopped! And also a big fan of that straight exhaust very nice setup

It's official. You've almost put as much money into the car as it costs lol.

I'm wondering why the 60-1 was selected ? It is a old design compressor wheel, that works at mid to high pressure ratios and is quite "laggy"

Are you guys planning a forged internal build and 20+psi boost in the near future ?

Curious to see the dyno results and power curve

Nice. Setup is looking good. But hard to imagine a 60-1 not lagging on a 2.0L. You probably should compare with another turbo FR-S that is running something that spools faster and then you will notice lag out of your 60-1.

60-1 Doesn't lag much, I had a 60-1 on my 1.8 Honda and full boost came in around 4300. 60-1 is old technology, but it's proven to work. From my experience so far, that lag will come in handy when you're figuring in mpg economy if you daily drive. Besides, for a drag racing application, you don't have to worry about lag if you shift fast enough!

The lag is minimal I can cee this car hitting full boost by 4000-4300 easily. I have already explained how this car feels under part throttle. Are you driving the car? No. It's a 60-1 with. Stage 3 wheel not a stage 5 or anything big.

Thanks for chiming in! Yes 60-1 is old technology but as you said it works. GL at IFO. I just took first place in the Show at this past IFO. As soon As we tune it out, I'll be entering FIS in the future

Thanks! Running FIS with my customer's Full Blown Stage 1 Kit on E85. Probably won't win, but should make the field at least!

Shifting fast eliminates turbo lag? Hmmm, first I've ever heard someone mention shifting speed in relation to turbo lag.

High RPMs + Quick Shift = Less RPM Decrease, If you don't fall below the RPM threshold at which boost comes in, you never lose spool up.
