Probably what he's pointing to specifically:

Sciclonic: Will there be a turbo FR-S coming soon? Jack Hollis: No. Nothing like that is even being talked about for either the FR-S or the Subaru BRZ. The engine compartment is packed so tight that for us to do a factory turbo system would be nearly impossible. I’m not closing the door on it, but its just not being discussed right now.

All of those are for North America's FR-S.

The story that I posted said no turbos for Europe's GT86.

I don't know too much about FI on this platform. Those of you who do, how much more space would a factory turbo take in the engine bay compared to the aftermarket kits available now for it not to be a viable option?

The statement made regarding a lack of room just sounds off to me. I mean, if you can drop an LS engine into an NA Miata's engine bay, why would this be such a challenge?

You do realize that one of the reason they decided on the boxer engine was its low mounting point in the engine bay contributing to the car's low CoG, right? Also, dat boxer rumble!

Actually the second link IS for the GT86 from a UK based site with a quote from Tetsuya Tada from 2011.

Not everyone appreciates you reposting useless clickbait. The thought is nice (stimulating discussion) but like others said, this isn't news.

Edit: I'll post it a third time so you don't have to strain yourself.

Edit2: You asked for the link for the VP stating there would be no turbo version from 2012, I provided.

Jack H is not Toyota Europe's VP. Please get your facts right... It makes you look stupid.

The link I posted has nothing to do with the North American market/FR-S. It is talking about Europe and its GT86.

Also Tada-San has nothing to do with this. The latest article has nothing to with him.

before making fun of other people maybe you should learn how to read. Karl S said to TopGear no turbos for Europe's GT86. that is different than Jack H VP of North America Scion saying no turbos for the FR-S.

different VP and market...... again reread......

You asked I delivered. Nobody is arguing the point you're attempting to make. All I am saying is that this is not news, stating "Nothing has changed on our stance from 2011" and calling that news is silly in my humble opinion. Carry on enjoying your 'front page news'.

Edit: Tagging @gymratter to prove I can read just fine.

As I stated time and time again. It's news for the European market. It's confirmed for them that they aren't getting a turbo GT86. (Different markets have received different drivetrains than the US.)

Never once did I say anything about the North American market and the Scion FR-S.
