Ordered 8qts of 0w-20 AMSoil signature (I do know it only takes 5.75qts but I keep a couple in the trunk), AMS EA15K20 filter, Fumoto valve. AMS states that I can let it run in there for 15k miles (for the oil and filter)...it is hard enough to wait 7k for the first oil change...probably change it after 10k.
I just got my BRZ back from the body shop yesterday on my way to work. The body shop installed my sidemarkers but didn't install the grimmspeed bracket for whatever reason...but like hell I was going to drive around in a boat that is the Chevy Malibu. Once it stops raining I will screw it in myself. In the interest in extending the healthy life of my motor should I purchase a catch can? It seems they are more gear towards people who track their cars regularly but I am interested in it to keep the gunk out of my engine (since all my Volvos lived to high mileage but drove like crap I want my BRZ to age more gracefully). Worth the cost? Also, to get rid of the rough 1+2nd shifts. I have read on here that changing the trans fluid fixes that correct? If you changed it, what have you used? Sorry for the long post |

FINALLY was decent enough weather to give the car a wash as well as install my Smoked Sidemarkers...took until after too realize that sidemarkers are required to be amber in OR but oh well, I'm already running without a front license plate

Last night I signed up C'thulhu for autocross. It will be my first time driving in autocross so it should be interesting to say the least.

Blewclouds. How much wiring work was required for the doors, dash and rears?

Cleaned the windows and interior, now brunch and then a drive south of Ft. Worth and I'll see where I end up.
Also, anxiously awaiting my OFC and there's a good chance I'll be ordering the OF headers when I get home. |

Quote:
Door: I spliced the factory wire, added about 2" of extra wire and added the terminal connectors. Dash: I did the same as the door. Rear: I actually cut off the factory connector and attached this to my new speaker. For the tweeter, I ran the Alpine supplied crossover from the speaker. The crossover is mounted behind the hardwood in the rear just under the speaker. Overall the wiring work was nothing major, just splicing and reconnecting here and there. |

Drove it from Boston to Stamford, CT and back. Got 375 miles to one tank! Warm weather + broken in motor = kick ass mileage 😁
