I would prefer leather or vinyl but plastic would be cool.

That's an easy one I've pretty much already got the design since it would be just like what I used for my wheel center caps. Another option would be to use the 3D printer to create a form with an offset that could then be covered by leather for an embossed look.

Here is the two tone center caps I made.

I have contacted a custom leather tooler to get pricing on doing an embossed leather patch.

Leather would probably be much safer then having a piece of plastic sitting in front your airbag.

I love doing logos with the 3D printer. They're pretty easy to design most of the time and come out looking great. I need to invest in a setup so I can do clear doming ontop of the logo.

70mm 86 roundels (or 67mm if people just want to sit them inside one design of hub cap I found) for fitting into/onto Honda caps, to mount on RPF1/PF01s. Personally I'd find colour unimportant as I'd want to etch prime them and paint them silver, but that's me. .. or have them plastichromed, same deal.

EDIT; Seriously though, is there any way to get these without printing them?

Interested in the 3d model for the keychain, I have access to a 3d printer at school and would love to print and build on this further if you are willing to share the design. Nice work btw, I have seen a few 86 related 3d stuff but this one compelled me the most.

That depends on many factors.

-They type of plastic used (PLA or ABS)
-They accuracy of the 3D printer kit used
-The the software used and its ability to control the build process (wall thickness, fill %)
Learn the difference between ABS and PLA Filament

They won't be as strong as injection molded parts but can still be very strong especially if you take certain factors into account in your part design. There are some major advantages when it somes to lightweight parts because you can create hollow structures that are impossible to achieve any other way..

Its so cool to be able to 3d print caps and such. I have been looking into 3d printers.

What do you guys think about the qidi 3d printer for printing caps?

or do i need something maybe higher quality like the new makerbot replicator plus?

thanks in advance for any advice!
