Nice, enjoy your extra recording capacity too!

I've had my Blackvue for a few months now...its been working great. I hard wired mine right to the dome light

Overheating...it does get hot when left in the car, and will stop working while its hot...but resume functionality when cooler. This does put a damper on parking mode.

The "Season II" apparently address this issue...but we'll see.

Things I've noticed:

-The compression. While touted as a great thing for file sizes....its not so great for video quality. I'd say the quality is no better than 720 when it is set to 1080p for this reason.

-Sometimes it doesn't shut down right when its powered off. It SHOULD give a little voice alert that it is shutting down, then safely shut down. Sometimes it doesn't do this...and I notice this jacks up time settings.

-Invest in a class 10 micro SD card. The one shipped with the unit is an unknown entity, and is pron to errors.

Hey where did you pick up the Session 2 version and does it have Korean firmware or English?

I ordered mine from eBay from seller "newkoreanshop", who I highly recommend.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BlackVue-DR4...item41697755a0

Shipping was quick and seller was fast and responsive with communication.

My session 2 came w/ a 16gb class 10 card (which I accidentally broke). I ran a class 6 at 1080p and I think it broke my sd card. Since ordered a class 10 and no problems.

In terms of overheating, gets warm but I haven't noticed excessive heat, but I'm in Seattle... I did buy a squaretrade warranty for $40/3years.

Hehe... so this camera WILL drain your battery. I left the car in the garage for four days undriven and when I returned the battery was completely dead. Looks like I will need to install a device to prevent this.

Yikes!... What was your motion sensitivity set at? It must of gone on and off like crazy.

It was in the garage. Camera was staring at the inside of the garage door. I need to figure out a way to disable it automatically ONLY when it is in my garage. Hehe.

Yeah, it's easy enough to do... but I want an automatic solution without spending much. I'll have to get creative.

Just get the Power Magic Pro; it's like $60 bucks... There will be a voltage reader/cutoff, plus an on and off switch for your convenience.

I would of got this in a heartbeat if it wasn't for my paranoia of warranty...

Yeah, I'll probably end up getting it. $60 seems steep for a simple voltage switch. I'm cheap, so I will probably source something cheaper or build something myself. We'll see.

Well, if you do plan on being creative and end up making one yourself, make sure you post it up here; I COULD be a potential customer

Can anyone post a few pictures of what the camera looks like when it's installed from outside the vehicle? I'm wondering how discrete it is.
