Same reason it didn't work too well on the S2000 as well. Helped with the low end torque and midrange though.

the issue was the turbo breaking or something, not the engine. for the most part. My rx8's at 71k and running great.

Mine was a 2004. I dont think any lived without a new motor.

I wonder how the 2009's are doing with the 3 oil metering pumps or whatever now.

I just couldnt deal with 200hp and only 18 to 13 mpg.

At least now i have 200hp and 30mpg.

There are a couple of things I like about this setup... 1. The flex pipes, they reduce the amount of stress on the manifold and helps avoid cracks. 2. The pipe routing, appears to me that it may be the optimum routing reducing the length and bends. 3. The inter cooler is not massive to the point that you can also run an oil cooler and 4. It has great presentation at top.

Just my opinion guys, I'm sure others have different. Now we just have to wait and see how it performs and compares to the competition.

100% agree. Im torn between this and avo. I had the same turbo(t518z) on my WRX and it was great. Im not looking for high power just something a little faster for daily driving around town. but only 205whp from a supercharger doesn.t seem like worth it.

I trust greddy, no pun intended, bc theyve been working very closely with this platform since it came out...

Greddy is notorious for taking their time with the R&D stage to make sure they put out a quality product that has that "turn key" reliability,

i agree with most that im not looking for huge power numbers bc this car is all about balance, i'm hoping for the hp in the 240-250whp range with tq #'s 200-210 with a conservative tune, I feel that would be about the sweet spot with this platform imo, good hp:wgt ratio with great handling....

stay tuned...

Hopefully they put out a tuner kit to keep the costs in check.. otherwise I'm guessing this will be in the $6k range

Yes, I'm on the same boat as you between this one and the AVO kit. The one thing I don't like about the AVO kit are the bends, specially that U-shape bend right out of the turbo. Other than that, it appears to be great. This one, on the other hand, gets rid of that and throws all the other things I mentioned before.

I'll definitely be waiting for the results on this one. So far so good....

I'm in Japan, not mainland. And it is in a few of the new option magazines and ill look to see what power levels are. I know it is one of the top performers on time attack/lap battle. When I get back to my place ill look for it in there. I love the way They have been going producing great and better parts. For the 35rx to this platform. Beautiful.

It's 276hp @ 7170RPM; 218lb-ft @ 4780RPM. This info has been available since Jan 24. The only thing we don't know is the price of the kit. This kit is number one on my list and the TRD sc is second. Mostly I will get the greddy turbo kit.
