Mr Mrs has a standard '96 RX7 and it keeps up with my Sprintex/Innovate charged '86 pushing around 290bhp here in the UK
Luckily I'm having a full engine build and a 335 charger installed, but she's got plans to port the RX7, V mount, bigger turbo's etc so should be a good match |

IMO, the FD is the sexiest, best looking, car to come from Japan.

You dare insult the NSX?!
The NSX is the only Japanese car that matters. In fact, it is the ONLY CAR that matters.

I’d totally take an s2000 over nsx... FD is definitely better than nsx as well. I personally love the twins tho. If the twins came out 15 years sooner that’s all you’d be comparing everything else too.

Stock to stock, the FD isn't even close to an NSX in the looks department.

NSX = Comparing a twin to a used $100,000 25 year old sports car????
FD = Comparing a twin to a used $40,000 20 year old sports car????? At least this " comparison" has all models RWD and with the option of a manual transmission. On topic: I will never own a rotary again, too temperament and high maintenance. As for the NSX, whilst good when new, and at $100,000 for a good used one, buying a 25 year old car, with all their inherent issues and costs, I would say no, to both. Performance wise, both will smoke a stock twin. Yes you can add boost to a twin, but all you need to do is spend typical coin on the FD to keep it well ahead. Safety wise the twins are worlds ahead. Both the NSX and FD are old and look it.
