Repurpose broken coilover spring onto stock strut??

Might be a stupid question but I am curious. I know there are better lowering springs out there but if I can repurpose these coilovers it would be nice. So I have some bc br xtreme lows I believe 7k or maybe 8k spring rate, with one set with a broken shock and not wanting run them anymore and sending them in to get fix, was wondering if anyone has ever put their coilover springs onto their stock strut?

The diameter is very different, not going to work at all.

Okay lol, the short answer is no. The springs don't physically fit. Even if they did, the OEM dampers wouldn't work very well with 7 or 9k springs.

But back in the day people would adapt coilover spring sleeves (from Ground Control) with Koni Yellow adjustables on GD chassis WRX and Impreza STI. A lot of that was due to lack of other options at the time. It wasn't exactly plug and play, but it wasn't too uncommon.

Anyway, I wouldn't waste my time now because there are much better options.
