ARP Harmonic Balancer Bolt - ARP-234-2503
Powerbond Harmonic Balancer - PBB-PB1117SS
Water Pump - ADO-251-728
CTS-V Accessory Kit - NAL-19155066
DEI Plug Wire Covers - DEI-010475
Tilton Clutch Master Cylinder (.813 bore as found in @wutsaiu thread. I will have an adapter drawn up and machined) - TIL-75-812U
Cooling Hose drain for Steam vent input - SME-2201-11
Pilot Bearing* - ADO-CT1078 and ADO-CT1082
Extra Idler Pulley for power steering pump delete - CEL-49021
Serpentine belt for power steering pump delete - DAC-5060560

*I bought two. Where the input shaft is in relation to the Bell Housing determines which Pilot Bearing you need from what I have seen. So I bought both just in case. I will let you all know which I use or is needed as soon as I get the transmission*

Edit: Looking through a lot of the pictures, Vorshlag is using The ADO-ct1078 Roller Pilot Bearing.

I thought for sure they used a 3/4 tilton version?

I need that standard pilot bearing... I have the bigger one and the transmission will not bolt up to the block. I found this out the hard way...expensive way...

Well crap. Seems you are correct. And it already shipped....

Should have done a little more research on that one. Guess I will be returning that one and getting the correct one. It's even cheaper by $10 lol

Luckily (or very un-luckily?) I highly doubt the transmission (mounts/driveshaft depending on who I go through) will be here any time soon. So I have plenty of time

I hear you. what do you have for a clutch? I can get you setup with a nice mantic setup if you need?

On the mounts, I'm in the same boat. I have the LS2 manifold and GTO pan which fits the vorshlag mounts but I have the standard F body T56 which fits with the cx racing kit. lol

Got an ACT (before I saw a lot of people say ACT wasn't worth getting for an LS platform. Too late to return/exchange). Thank You though.

Sorry. I didn't even think about the different pilot bearing being my problem until you said something about the two sizes. I just ordered the correct one a while ago...now I have to take my pressure plate off and pull the pilot bearing out. I also went with the stage 3 monster kit I believe.

Yeah I was about to order the big one and checked one last time and saw there were two. Didn't know exactly which one, so got both. I should have looked closer at Vorshlags pictures, as they have a picture of the correct one.

Shot a text to my friend with a shop. Asked if he would be interested/have time to sneak my car in to get mounts made up, he said it would be simple enough. Just wants me to get the headers I plan on using. So that may be the option I go with. Have him order the CX racing headers, and get stuff done.

I'll let him know others are interested. I think it should be something they can do.

They do amazing work.

Edit: Called Vorshlag and got told I should have an update around 1-1:30. I have a feeling I will be waiting another month or so at this point though. I hope I am wrong.

Can you please elaborate on the PS delete? How did you figure out the belt length of the belt? How do you mount the extra idler pulley in place of the stock PS pulley?

After a lot of searching on the internet I found a thread with someone doing a v8 swap in a miata without PS. Found that and realized it looked exactly like Vorshlags set-up. I assume they found the same thing and copied it. Looking at it, I think the Belt will be too short with the crank pulley I ordered. I should have waited and did that measurement on my own, but oh well.

Quoted from the ls miata swap thread.

Quote:
Got the pulleys and belt all figured out. Here's the parts I used:

- Goodyear Gatorback ribbed tensioner pulley - 49021
- 10 x 130mm x 1.5 long bolt
- smooth idler pulley from GM accessory kit - 12568996 (This is included in the CTSV Accessory Drive Kit.)
- Dayco 56" belt - 5060560

For the ribbed tensioner pulley I needed to find something that would center the 130mm bolt in the middle of the pulley. I ended up using a 10mm nut and rounded off the points around the outside to get it to the same diameter as the inside of the pulley, then pressed it in. Next I used assorted washers to get the pulleys all lined up. The tension seems about perfect.

Assuming Vorshlag went a little more technical with their build than rounded off nuts and washers. I plan on having a bushing made up to fit the pulley to the new bolt, and to have a spacer made up to align the pulleys.

Here is what it looked like with the belt on the miata:

You can always get all of the idlers etc and do the old string method for finding the belt length

How many Pre-orders are you up to now? If you don't mind me asking

Edit: @wooly35 Where did your transmission come from? I saw Zer0's came from Dederichs Motorsports, and Sent them an email yesterday... Got a reply today that they have them on the shelf ready to ship out... So wondering if yours came from the same company, or if Vorshlag is using Multiple Companies and that could be why I have waited so long ( I highly doubt it as even a newly order trans is only a 1-2 month wait)

Called Dederichs. He said he would check into the order. He has sent quite a few of them out recently, and isn't sure why my order wouldn't have gone out. Told me to call him back Monday if I don't hear back from him today. A+ customer service, kind of wish I would have ordered directly through them.
