I'm sure the unit has a connection to power a camera. Just need to find it.

I connected power to the camera as suggested by tapping into wire #3 on the 10 pin connector and ground on the other side.

I'm not sure which connections are video signal and video ground in this drawing:

OK. Never mind. Tthis page explains everything pretty well.

I found it here myself. Just passing on the info along with my experience.

I had to fabricate my own connector from old PC motherboard connectors but it worked.

Droid razr maxx HD 4.1.2, it seems to have a mind of its own... sometimes if i don't time it right i have to shut off the car and start over to get it to connect, with my old iphone4 it was all automatic and worked every time...

That sucks. My Note2 works great.

Has anybody done one of these write-ups for the anniversary edition FR-S with the base head unit? The head unit is a little different, I think.

I have a premium so there is no trunk button. If it were there the camera would block it.

Is it possible to disable the backup cam guide lines on the OEM HU? The camera I bought has them, so I have 2 sets of lines. I want to disable the radios lines. I went into diag mode but cant find anything regarding camera settings.

pins

where can i find the pins that go in the connector? i see some of you ordered the add on, and others used pins from an extra connector you happened to have... does radio shack or something carry those pins to fit in the connector?

thanks in advance..

all I did is strip the two (RCA) wires longer, and shove them in the holes on the 16 pin connector, and everything works just fine. Guess I won't bother to do more. Thank you for your write-ups

If anyone tries this, I am NOT responsible for you blowing up your radio or car, try this at your own risk.

I started with running the backup camera, and was happy to find this perfect grommet for the wire. I will be using this grommet for my passport 9500ci also when I install that.
@Flat Black VW
What size is Grommet? looks like perfect location for BRZ Premium people for rearview camera
