Yea, makes the Borla catback that much more appealing. I think I'm going to go with this catback and get the AVO turbo kit for the UEL.

How did you get your hands on the exhaust, it seems like all of us are still waiting for ours from Borla

My car is the car they used for prototyping, I've had the exhaust since July.

Duh, i guess if i had paid attention to the users i would've known that. You don't have any idea what the delay is over at Borla to start shipping these out by any chance?

Sorry but i don't. I know that the facility that borrowed my car in Oxnard does not do the main fabrication of production units. they just send the specs along to a facility elsewhere. I will see a Rep from Borla this weekend at 86Fest and will see if I can find anything out. But I CAN say that the exhaust is well worth the wait, hang in there...

I have had a Borla on my car since August, so I can post a few comments as well.

The pros:

Great sound. All my "car guy" friends have told me it sounds great, and I've let others drive the car just so I could hear it from outside. I'm very happy with it.

The volume is just right: It is louder than stock, but not TOO loud. It is loudest under acceleration, but a cruising speeds of 65-75mph, it is almost factory quiet. At those speeds, my Hankook RS3s are actually generating more road noise than the exhaust.

Weight savings of 10lbs.

Tips are big, but have an almost factory look.

The cons:

Ground clearance. On my car, the muffler sits 2" lower than the stock exhaust. This has been an issue for me, as my driveway approach angle is on the steep side. At stock ride height it would scrape until I added 600lbs of cold-patch to the end of the driveway to cut the angle down. Even after this, with coilovers installed, I cannot drop the car more than .75" without scraping. This problem means I have to change the exhaust out for Winter, as it'll only be worse when there's snow at the end of the driveway.

I'm actually on the fence about keeping it, or else trying something else that has all the pros but not the ground clearance issue. Or else maybe I could have a muffler shop adjust the inlet pipes on the muffler to tuck it up tighter into the chassis.

That is helpful to know. This might be an issue for me too if I ran this exhaust as my drive way is also steep angle entry.
