There is the crazy revolutions ducting which is $$$. Might invest in he HKS, probably better off with a filter and HKS duct than anything else.

I personally am not a fan of snorkels. They hurt cooling enough to make you overheat on track. For street driving, on the S2k, it was effective because they lowered IATs by ~10-15 degrees when you were moving. The S2k typically sits 25-30 over ambient. Of course, with FI, IATs sit closer to 5-10 over while cruising... |

Ya I loved the Syms duct, but its just way too expensive. The HKS one I am hoping will be much cheaper. They have other ducts for cars that cost around 3-400. A good filter, silicone tubing and the HKS duct IMO will be the best combination you can have for this car. Most intakes will soak in more hot air unless its a CAI like FA20 and Perrins and I still personally would rather use a duct since as the OEM air box is already really well designed. The FA20 tubing is metal and will heat up much easier and the Perrin CAI is just too expensive for a complete system (Silicone tube & CAI itself ).Improving the OEM design with some slight modifications is way better IMO. Air filters are already the best mod you can do for performance for how much it is and making it even better with a duct/silicone tubing will just make it even better.

Give it a bit. They use the current exchange rate, which is ~100Y to 1USD. Usually you can track the fluctuations to a point where you can get the item for less dollars as Japanparts charges you in Yen and your bank/card/service converts it.

The Revolution one is expensive because it's a big carbon fiber chamber box, tubing, and twin ducting co-developed by famed intake manufacturer Gruppe-M. Seriously hard to justify spending over $1k for an intake but still is uber cool looking and looks like it could stock on a high end vehicle. Probably R&D developed significantly better than the ARC unit.

When you use google to translate the HKS page, it says near the bottom...
※ In the case of installation work, you will need to desorption of the bumper. Does this mean take the bumper off to install, or modify the bumper to install? Thoughts? |

You will have to remove the bumper to get to the 2 screws holding the stock snorkel on.

I've ordered an HKS unit. Have started a new thread, rather than take over this one.

All of these replacement snorkels will require the bumper to be removed. But its a pretty straight forward thing to do. And there are a few DIYs on here about it already.
