Went on a drive with the Ohlins set at 12F&R. Interesting experience. Cushy but not "sporty"

I have the Ohlins 4k 3k version. 12 clicks from full stiff. I normally have them set at 6&6 for street.

Went to Autozone over lunch today, gave them my year make and model, they said they didn't have any caps in stock. I told them to check if they had any for the BRZ or Toyota 86, and they had ones for the BRZ. So I bought one of those for $11. Fit perfect, no CEL so far

The one that I dealt with was hands down amazing. I bought new wheels because the TSP6 wheels I have were scratched up by last tire shop. These guys were top notch. Came in a box truck, they have a generator too. Swapped the tires to new wheels, road force balanced, and nitrogen filled. All done where I live.

Installed my Titan 7 Wheels 18X9.5 +40 today finally.

BFG Comp 2 A/S tires. 235/40/18 front with a 3MM Spacer. 255/35/18 Back.

So close on that stock perch.

Installed the Nameless 5" Muffled Track Pipe and Perrin Crank Pulley
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notes: 95 dbA is the legal limit for vehicle exhaust noise in California.
Standard Sound Test Procedures: 45Degrees 17.5-20 inches away from exhaust tip. 50% or 75% RPM Band.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OEM Crank Pulley: 5lbs
OEM Bolts: 70.3g
OEM Exhaust Hanger: 65.7g
OEM Muffler: 28lbs
Idle: 65.6dba
3700rpm: 79.2dba
5550rpm: 87.6dba
--------------------------------------------------
Perrin Crank Pulley: 1.2lbs
Nameless Bolts: 79.6g
Nameless Muffled Track Pipe: 5.5lbs
Idle: 73.6dba
3700rpm: 87.2dba
5550rpm: 100dba
FT86SpeedFactory Exhaust Cover: 142.1g
--------------------------------------------------
Total Savings: 22.5lbs + 3.7lbs + 3x(65.7g) + 9.3g -142.1g
= 25.9lbs + 64.3g.

Final Thoughts: The Perrin Crank Pulley alone wasn't much, but paired with the rpf1's at -5lbs/corner does make it feel more responsive and zippy. The exhaust sounds sporty, very much alive, and daily drive-able. I couldn't get any tests past 5550rpm due to the OFT's launch control settings, but if you are worried about the noise limit you should pass in an event of a citation.(depending if they use the 50% or 75% RPM test). I doubt an uncatted UEL/EL will pass so stick with the stock setup or get a catted one to be safe.

OEM bolts are lighter so I will reuse them.

Really? Is this on 215s and stock wheels? I’m in ontario too and unless there’s snow on the ground, summer tires feel super planted. MPSS in 225 on a 8” wide wheel were planted but still playful and I could kick the back end out at will, but now Firehawks in 255 on a 9” wheel result in immortal grip basically no matter the weather

Firehawks 225/50 R16. They def don't feel planted...there's a major difference when it warms up more. I'm very careful when driving in the wet, especially when cool.
