Going to have to politely disagree with you that it "fits perfectly" - it's clearly pulling the airbox's "intake" portion away from the front bumper intake tubing.

That doesn't look off a bit to you? Seems like it's just a bit not right.

Nothing moves or changes position when it's installed/being installed.

I never had the stock tube, so I can't say.. That's the first picture I took of the engine bay, when I got my car.

According to PERRIN, it is supposed to be curved like that...

I don't mean the inlet itself.. I mean how we've been talking about the 2017 MY using the inlet meant for earlier MY's. it seems to not fit correctly and messes up the airbox alignment.

Correct, the inlet tube is curved. However, the placement of the airbox on the 13-16s is different from the 17+.

The issue is that if you use the shorter 13-16 inlet tube on a 17, it pulls the airbox away from it's fresh air inlet from the front bumper.

Take a look at these pics:

See how the airbox is still lined up with it's cold air intake?

Installed the 2017 version last night. Like how it looks (only reason I did it was to delete sound tube) but was a bit disappointed in Perrin. Clamps they send with the hose are to small and I used the clamps off the OEM intake. Bend is still not quite right, before tightening the clamps you really need to make sure it is not putting pressure on the air box and trying to move it away from cold air intake.

Here is my '17 specific perrin tube installed. Its close to the belt even with me pulling away while tightening down. over 200+ miles with no issues. Does a much better job sealing with the front bumper area.

Old generic intake

New Perrin

So I did this install today and it's on great now.

But I had several issues with the install as a beginner and ended up fairly frustrated.

Not sure how I feel about Perrin now other than that I'm using the tube and so far so good.

Not sure how likely I am to buy other parts from them at this point.

I installed the CAI today, and it's supposed to be slanted. It fits well. The Inlet hose is always curved.
