Keep us posted on your journey with your build.......I know for a fact it will be much smoother than mine.......remember ground clearance......something I didnt or Vorshlag considered till after the fact......think oval exhaust........or not going with their long tube headers

How bad is it? Got any pics of the ground clearance? Is it just the headers, or the oil pan too?

The only way I was going to fabricate my own mounts was if they took loger to start selling the kit than it takes me to save and buy all the parts i need to complete the swap minus the mounts. So that would be March 2017.

It would be fun to make everything myself but time consuming to get it to the level of perfection I would want, and im sure a little frustrating at times. Vorshlag has it figured out, and it is the best kit your going to find. Good luck now matter how you go about your swap.
I wrongly assumed Vorshlag possibly abandoned the idea of selling an LS swap kit from their one-off FR-S LSx Alpha Project.

August 10, 2015 was the last post on the official 'Vorshlag Scion FR-S LSx Alpha Project' thread. I never suggested 'Vorshlag LSX kit' thread be deleted. Paid advertisers swamping FT86Club forums is undesirable.

Well.....I got it ironed out and after numerous changing of heights settled on one.......the problem is the long tube headers and where it puts the collectors.....the collectors are so far back.it eleminates the use of the front sway bar,......now supposedly they have a fix for that with brackets,.......problem I see with the brackets is the same with the cats......they will scrape...like real bad unless for me I go way high on the ride setting.....like higher than stock.....I have Kw variant 3 coils......I had to cut the cats off......and then till I can find a shop that will do oval......I took a sledge hammer and a short piece of railroad track I have.....took the exhaust off and crudely ovaled the lowest part of the exhaust that runs by the tremec to be able to give me atleast a 4" ground clearance even though I have a one inch gap at the fenders......im redoing the whole exhaust once I have the funds.....taking the headers that took Vorshlag a year of painstakingly development and doing the waiting game with the supplier for ......off....off.....OFF!.....and going with a stockish manifold put out by hooker......it should give me back the sway bar and clearance thats needed sacrificing a little power in return......its something that despirately needs done......the headers create more problems than whats gained.....by far......as far as the oil pan.....its good......you will hit the front frame rail before you hit the pan.....but put that OEM skid plate on.....as i curbed the car bad and it probably would of taken the oil pan out as i went past the curb.....that aluminium pan saved me.....and it fits and covers the bottom of the engine fine.....its temporary till I get a sheet of alunimum and custom make one.

Vorshlag has started production of the mounts. They are not going to be available until they complete the production run figure out material and labor cost and then decide what to charge to make a profit.

I spoke to Terry from Vorshlag today he said the first batch of mounts are getting powder coated. They should be for sale shortly. I'm going to start looking at their site daily to see when it gets announced they are for sale.
