It's up to you on what size wheel you want to run. 17x8 and 17x9 can both be run with a 215 width tire. The 9j wheel is pretty wide for a 215 though so the tire will be stretched. Just comes down to what you want to run. This was 17x8.25 with 215/45 on it. This was 17x9 with 215/45 on it. Both had zero issues with clearance and I was able to use full lock without any serious rubbing. Only time it rubbed was at full lock over bumpy surfaces because of the ride height. Other stuff happened today.. Got my package in from Touge Factory Also got my Grimmspeed intake from @xDanger_208x and installed it. Since I bought it used from him and all the rubber trimming had already been installed to the box, the full install seriously took me all of 30 minutes. Big thanks to him Made a very slight difference from like 4.5k to 7k. Very slight. Just enough to notice a difference. Definitely a little more grunt but the real difference will be noticed I'm sure once the header and tune get thrown on the car. Just waiting for my exhaust to come in now...

Thank you very much, I appreciate all the advice. I can't wait to see how the header and tune turn out. I'm planning on keeping mine n/a
I came from a 96 civic hatch I had built for 4 years and daily drove. I used it to carve mountain roads in the Appalachian foothills where I live. The motor was stock but I rebuilt and replaced every single bolt of the rest of the car and over hauled suspension and brakes. This is my first serious FR and I'm in love with this chasis. Not trying to thread Jack, just sharing my old passion for grip driving lol |

No worries lol. I've actually been thinking about taking the car to an event up north at Hallett and do some actual road course driving. It's been a long time. Not sure if I want to sink more money on different stuff though lol. I actually had every intention of going with turbo or supercharger but the car is my daily driver and it's just too easy right now. I have just under 13k miles on the car. I've done a cross country trip, 5 drift events, and lots of hard driving, and all I've had to do is change oil/fluids. It's such a reliable car right now and I don't want to mess with that too much. It just REALLY needs some extra grunt. I figure with the intake, headers/exhaust, and tune, I should be able to pull an extra 30ish whp out of the car which is a decent little bump. Maybe down the road when I have a different daily, I'll consider boosting this-if I still have it. The zn6 is a great car from the factory. Just a blank sheet of paper for you to do whatever you want with. It has it's flaws but I'm pretty content with the car now at this point. All that I have left for it is: -Tune -FLCAs -Tie rods -Subframe bushings -Swift springs for coilovers and I'm done. Maybe a BRIDE seat and brake upgrade down the road, but everything listed above will be addressed after winter. Plus, I still have parts sitting in the garage I need to install lol.

^thats awesome, I daily drive mine too to work and I've got 77XX so far, bought it in July. A friend that is sort of a local legend, has decided to bring his hatchi roku out of retirement and get back into the drifting ring. He's been doing it for a looong time and we all got a message on facebook this week to get ready for spring season. I was planning on going coilovers, but I think I may just invest in tires, fluids, and event fees(he will be able to get those reduced for us.). I'm afraid if I lower it the axles won't hold up.

Axles aren't really too much of a worry unless you're: a. Running lots of power b. Running lots of grip c. Slamming your car to the ground Or any combo of the 3. If the car is kept at moderate power levels and the grip levels aren't crazy and the ride height is kept reasonable, you shouldn't have any real concerns. Especially with just normal driving. If you're going to drift the car, then the same applies. I haven't had any issues since my first axle that went but my car was a bit lower and more grippy. I just raised the car a tad and ran a higher rear tire pressure and since then, no issues. These axles have been going for over 10k miles too with loads of track time.

Oh yeah, one more question, in those pics you posted a few posts back with the 527's (I plan to get the same ones in white) how much were you lowered in those pics? Also how was your axle angle and do you think SPC lca's will be mouth or should I get stance LCAs?

I would honestly spend the extra for the Stance LCAs. They lower the mounting point by an inch and the aurora rod ends are top notch. Well worth the money. Also, I went out today and took pics that don't suck so much cause they were taken on an actual camera instead of a damn phone
