Touch my Honda please.

Hey guys, my name is Tym and I drive a 240whp NA 98 Honda Civic coupe as my race car. The the frs/brz is the first car besides the Honda crz, that has gotten me excited.... Insanely excited. I realize that you guys have a new member area. However, there are two of them and I have not decided whether I am an frs guy or a brz guy. Either way the community shouldn't be divided as such.

I have owned my Civic for over 10 years now, and have changed out virtually everything over the years. I have multiple coilovers, motors, cam packages, exhausts setups, brake setups.....ect. For example; I have owned over 7 of the best B series headers ever made, just to see what was and is actually the best (dyno tests).

My car finally sits in its current setup as a more permanent setup, as I have really reached near perfection. I have tried everything to get the most out of the B series engine and EK chassis. I believe I have finally found that bliss. As of last year I had the highest wheel Hp made out of a completely oem, NA 1.8 B series block.

Than a close friend to my tuner squeezed out about 250whp out of the same setup with a 2mm larger TB, larger injectors, and a slight chopping of the same intake manifold I have used. I have already adapted these mods and will retune soon. For now the car is sitting at the shop hiding.

I cannot possibly list every mod, as everything has been replaced but some of the bolts.

Engine:

100% tuned and ran on e85

USDM b18c5 block new from the dealer.
- completely oem with custom shaped PCT oem pistons
- oem head gasket
- First Endyne breather tank kit
- Hasport Mounts
- Innovative optional solid 2 AC and trans mounts.

USDM b18c1 head. Portflow race port
- Porflow springs, retainers, flat faced valves, guides, seals.
- Jun3 cams, Skunk2 gears (can't remember timing specs)
- Second Endyne breather tank kit off the VC
- Edlebrock Performer X ported and matched (currently shortening the runner to make 250+)
- RC440 (Have purchased ID 750s' part of 250+ plan)
- OEM fuel rail and Blox FPR
- Proffesional products TB 68MM (Have purchased a Skunk2 70MM part of 250+ plan)
-3inch v-stacked intake, dyno length tuned**** with 6inch filter.

Exhaust:

- B19 SMSP Header
- The exhaust piping is 3inch in diameter from the header back to the muffler
- 3 inch true inner diameter Vibrant resinator.
- 3 inch true inner diameter Vibrant stealth stock looking black muffler.

Suspension / Brakes / Wheel&Tire:

-
Currently GSR full disc and caliper swap on all 4 with HAWK HP+ all around.
- S2000 front Brake conversion with Carbotech X10 pads chillin on my desk for later this season.
- ATE Super blue with COATED Stainless lines.
- Tein MONO FLEX (14k/8k)
- SPC fully adjustable camber and toe in the rear (0 Toe, -1 Camber in the rear)
- Skunk2 Pro Series Front Camber Arm. (O toe, -3 Camber in the front)
- All New urethane bushings.... every single busing you could replace. (BUT, the oem shifter bushing due to preference)
- Custom R Crew (Comptech) rear sub frame brace.
- Adjustable Function 7 Rear lower control arms
- EX front 22MM sway, and CTR rear 22MM sway (SO Neutral)
-6 Point roll bar
- Roll bar tubed brace between the rear shock towers.
- Stitched welded front end bits with custom mad inner fender braces
- Enkie ERo1 (16x7) with Handcook RS3's in 225/50/16 (little too tall)

Trans:

- OEM JDM 96 ITR trans (shorter 3rd-4th than 98)
- OEM JDM 4.785 Final drive (96 was 4.4)
- Exedy stage 2 3 puck (my 5th one and LOVE LOVE LOVE it)
- ACT PROlite 8.? LBS (My 4th and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it)

I know I am forgetting A 100 little things that make the car what it is, but that is the main stuff really.

I would like to end with that I feel this car is the new ITR of this generation. I see a lot of Honda OG screen names here and a few othe friends here. I feel that I have a lot to offer this community in terms of experience and I can't wait to pick up my he tf86/brz.

I'm pretty sure you need 10 posts.

I started out with a 91 Prelude, loved that car. Moved onto a 2003 Civic Si, and now the FR-S. I still love 90s Hondas though. Especially love the clean/subtle look you went with

That must be a blast to drive.

I started in an 88 Civic hatch, then went to a 94 Prelude VTEC, then to an 03 CL Type S (still have it). There was also a 90 Civic hatch that I still have, its supposed to be a project but I doubt thats ever going to see the light of day
