Ok, I kind of get your point but that still doesn't make it a good idea. Like @Dadhawk mentioned, actual knobs are where it's at because they can be used without looking.

Well maybe, in the WRX the brembos were like double the size though so the best pads in the world couldn't compare. I was running Hawk pads on both setups anyway I think. Not the full race ones that need you to put heat in to work but like the step below. HPS+ maybe?

Look it this way, our brakes are bigger than S2k & other coupe cars out there. I think. That's saying something... I least I do.

I don't regularly get my brakes hot enough for a big brake kit to matter.
