Not sure on the sizing but something like this:

You can also tint your headlights yellow if you like that look.

I worked with retrofitting headlights for a while now. HIDs in a halogen projector is ok, but still not good. The main component to a good light output is good projectors.

I retrofitted some morimoto projectors in, threw in some cheaper HIDs and the light output/crisp cutoff line is far superior.

I'm looking to put yellow bulbs in my 13+ brz drl. The horizontal drl beneath the headlight housing. Anybody got any recommendations? Or should I tint the lens? I'm looking for the more quality option

They are LED, so there are no replaceable bulbs. You would likely have to try to unglue the DRL lens from the backing then desolder the LED's from a circuit board then solder new ones on.

It seems that most people paint theirs to get the yellow look. Laminex film will probably have a hard time wrapping around the curved parts of the lens.

I have Vland headlights, and the LEDs I ran with them made it so that the back cover of the light could not fit on. I was also missing a fender liner around this time so you can assume what happened next. Some water got sprayed up into it and the DRL stopped working. Every other aspect of it works. How can I fix this?

Does anyone know if the 4 hole to 3 hole adapter plates that come in the 2017+ Toyota Fog light OEM kit have a part number and are available separately? I want to piece the kit together since I want to use Morimoto XB yellow foglights instead of buying the kit and selling the OEM fogs.

I’m going to open up my headlights to black out the housing. What should I use to reseal the headlight after I’m done?

Some people reuse the original sealant.

If you want to do it 100% buy “headlight butyl” from www.theretrofitsource.com and either clean out the old stuff and reuse the new stuff or add a thin bead of new stuff to the existing sealant.

you're in atlanta. go TO The Retrofit Source, and get some headlight butyl. depending on how nice you are, they might even be willing to seal them up for you.

ask for jamielle or nick, and tell matt he sucks if he doesn't have an open house this year!

Thanks for the recommendation! I had no idea such a place was in town, I’m going to stop by and check out the shop.

Hi all,

Has anyone been able to open the Vland Headlights? Which temperature do you use for baking?
It seems that more heat is needed as for the OEM ones...

Any help is apreciated.

Kind regards from Switzerland

I have not tried opening these headlights. I have done several of OEM headlights of different cars.

What are you using? I typically use around 200F/100C. You might need to try to pry them apart in the beginning then put them back in for five minutes and try again then do it again. Maybe have someone help with a dryer or heat gun (on low), while you pry, and just make sure there are no retaining screws.

The thickness of the plastics are probably cheaper than OEM, so just be careful prying.

When you say DRL, do you mean the boomerangs, and if so then how was the boomerang operating normally? Was it always on, or did they come on with the parking lights only, or did they come on with the headlights only, or did they come on with the parking lights or headlights, but not when the stalk is turned to Off? And now it never comes on, right?

I can only imagine that there is a short or damage to the circuit board.

The headlights really aren't designed for LED headlight bulbs, as you now realize, so have you removed the ones you bought and put back on the cap?
