GOT REAR ENDED!!

Hi Guys,

Thank yall for reading! I recently got rear ended when parked. I do not know how fast that kid was going but he backed into my car apparently in a parking lot full of cars. my passenger side rear bumper got dented pretty badly. "MY CONCERN" was that the bumper has a hole from the frame behind the bumper I suppose? Because there was something right behind the hole that is rigid. Should I inform the collision center to make sure there is not frame damage? Tail light was scratched as well!!

Could not get mad at the kid because he is one of the Forumla SAE member at UT austin...
Again Thank yall for helping

Sorry to hear this. From what you're describing I would guess there's not any damage to your frame at all. I would still mention it to the body shop and ask them to double check it, if for nothing else just your peace of mind. Good luck.

If i were u, I might talk to the body shop and add some money to change an aftermarket rear bumper. If theres no damage to ur frame, be happy man. The insurance company will pay part of a body kit for u.

BTW, changing lowered rear bumper only may make ur car look like this. So a front bumper (or even side skirts) is recommended.
