Another Texan here and mine is in its second summer. I do have max tinted windows since last June, no separation on mine.

VIN 2955, built Apr 2012. This is its 2nd summer and I drive it year 'round. No tint and no sun shield for the dash (shame on me).

Anyone have an update on this? Mine is getting pretty bad as well. Brought it to the dealer today and luckily one of the Canadian Subaru QA reps happened to be there. He took a look at it and will discuss with Subaru Japan as to what they can do (if nothing, they will replace my dash...something I really don't want them doing).

I've had my car since June 2012 and tinted the windows soon after and I'm having this same issue.

mine has the same problem the passenger side if coming off. When you pull the vent you can see that it is pulling up. I took mine and them take a look and the told me that the car out in the show room looks the same and that they have written it down and if a TSB comes up with it then they will fix the problem.
-It is all bullshit bec if you look at it you can tell that it is not just a wave it is really coming up. They just didn't want to change my dash out.

Bought the car in March and 6 months later now the dash is still ok.
Summer is really hot and I have seen temp going between 40-50C here (110+ F).

The dealer gave me windshield shade (crappy one with their name, not the TRD).
I am too lazy to stand it up and put the visor down (don't want to make them loose).
So I just put it on top of the dash, but I think it might be better this way as it is covering the whole dash and wheel.

12/12 build, summer is ending and it's noticeable but only if I point it out to people. You can squish it around a bit to minimize the lift but it'll usually just pop up on the other side. Disconcerting when it comes to fit and finish considering how bulletproof my other dash boards are.

I probably won't do anything about it unless something pops up here.

Edit: I've wiped it with simple green or a damp cloth, nothing else.

Nothing. I just dust mine with a Swiffer.

Sounds like an issue, I wonder if any applications (303) have mitigated the defect?

Same here, having the dash replaced. Will be buying a dash cover to hopefully soak up the heat. Down the road ill be keeping an eye out for an after market hard plastic dash... the new tc dashboard feels very robust... wish they chose it for the FR-S.

Since I've noticed this, I park so the rear of the car gets most of the sun during the day, instead of the front. It hasn't gotten any worse.

I have it too. I will be calling the dealer to have it fixed. I am tinted to the legal darkness in FL, will have to buy a sun shade though. Never used one in any of my other cars but this is the first non lux brand car for me in a while.
