Performance Pack rotor options
My factory pads are just about done. I haven't measured rotor thickness yet. Not sure if it's a good idea to reuse them or not.
Original hardware has one track day, and many, many miles in the canyons. How often do you all change rotors? What are good rotor options for cheap? I don't mind swapping for new rotors every time if they are cheap. I saw some Centric fronts for around $32 each. Anything I should stay away from? Any recommendations? Thanks |

May depend on how agressive pads are to rotors. But usually rotors outlast pads. I'm through 3rd pad set (on non PP, OE brakes), and it looks, like my rotors will get through 4th, for example. Just check thickness of rotors and decide when/if it's time to change, but i somewhat doubt that only first pad set will wear them down enough.

Depends on the pad, but I'll say you'll be fine with just new pads. For peace of mind get them measured. Replace if worn.

Don't just measure, also look for heatchecking as well. Chances are you're fine with OEM pads, but my current rotors will be replaced in the spring after two years.

- Rotor thickness - Warpage - Lip formation - OEM discs actually last a long time - Crappy metallurgy = crappy wear - Ultra super ballin' discs also don't necessary mean excellent performance - Brake pads make or brake your actual braking performance |
