When we do need them though, we need them and it's been hot the last few weeks here.
A word of advice, spend $20 and get the right tools. Makes working on sprinklers so much easier.

Welp, you could use a wheel line (the sprinkler heads are easier to get to, to unclog) or go with flood irrigation -

We have circa 2003 compact Dyson, still going strong. My wife has zero mechanical sympathy!! She expects machines to work from the 'get-go', no excuses!! I am more softer with machinery, perhaps the balance between the 2 of us has helped..

See the wheel lines everywhere in the alfalfa fields. Btw, you know how many times they can harvest alfalfa? Seems like they just harvested it a couple weeks ago, now they are harvesting it again. Stuff grows like weeds.

That depends on where it's grown. Down in Imperial Valley of California, it's not unusual to get five or six cuttings per year. In the Northern climes, two to three cuttings per year is possible.

Life is short and it becomes more apparent when you find yourself attending more funerals then weddings etc...
..and all of your older cousins have passed away -
