I agree, bringing it to high school may not be a good idea. College is worse. Drunk college students plus parking lots full of cars is a bad combo. I have seen people's cars and my car included vandalized. Good thing it was just an old car. My parents advised me to not drive a nice car while I was still living on campus.
On another note it is very possible for high school students to buy new cars on their own. My brother and his friends worked on weekends and saved every penny since they were 13 years old. When they turned 18 they bought a brand new G35, G37, and TL straight up cash. My brother got the G35 and his two other friends got the other two. |

I drove a new 2000 Celica in high school. It eventually got keyed and egged though I had no personal enemies so it must have been done by some random haters. My area wasn't ghetto either... school and neighborhood were all in a new (and still booming) middle/upper class community. What's funny is I'd be over the vandalisms by the next day. I don't think I'd keep my cool as much nowadays with my BRZ. xD

LOL, I remember every day after high school, there would be cars smashing into each other left and right. People would floor it through the parking lots and then ram into a stopped car like retards. So I would always wait as long as I could before leaving to minimize the chances of someone running into me and I was always looking out for others and for an escape route and I never got into a crash. I had a somewhat nice car (a red 2001 Mercury Cougar V6) that I luckily inherited from my brother but it wasn't nice enough to get people jealous which was good. But I do remember one girl claiming she really liked my car and wanted to go for a ride in it but I was smart enough to know what she really wanted. LOL
Anyway, that's good that you are working in high school (as I did). Although I don't necessarily think it's a great idea to buy a new car so soon into your "driving career," I can understand you really wanting the car and such so lets just hope nothing goes wrong with it. If you need help with maintenance/tips/tricks, at least you have this forum to go to. Congrats!
