Whiteline crossmember bushing insert review

Does anyone hear an little cluck sound from the rear during you hit the gas after the installation of these bushings?

I don't think it's a problem because the rear is locked now and very more stiff. I love and appreciate the feeling again after one weeks.

I had some clunking after installing springs and once I put these in it has increased dramitcally. In my case its my stock endlinks causinf the trouble.

Whiteline crossmember bushing insert review

I have Mach V springs and Whiteline link on the rear.

Then you suggest this is normal? This is what I think too...

It's a clunk like when you engage the trany from the neutral to the first gear...The "normal" clunk they say... But in this case the sound come from the rear when you accelerate hardly.

Maybe the bushings just increase a little bit a sound we have at the beginning?

I've got no added noise after installing the bushings.

Even if you tap the gas pedal?

I mean this happen only when you hit the gas... I don't speak about NVH during driving.

The "bung sound" when you compress and you re-accelerate seem to be less or not present anymore with the positive shift bushing.

Then this is only because the rear was more tight you can hear this sound.

Are these black inserts newer version and better than the yellow one?

is this kit alone good enough for daily driving (without adding the diff kdt925) bushings ?
reason i ask is because there are many reports on roughness of kdt925

For daily driving you don't need any of them. Either would be fine for removing compliance from the system; both together would be better. There's nothing that says this one is better than that one, they must be done in a certain order, etc... But any modification will always have trade-offs; it's just a question of what trade-offs you're willing to accept in exchange for the positives presented by the modification. The movement that we call slop and want to remove was specifically put where it is in order to minimize NVH inside the cabin. Most of the movement comes from the diff carrier bushings; specifically the two large bushings in the back. KDT925 minimizes that movement at the cost of slight gear whine at low speeds in low gears. Aside from those bushings, the entire subframe flexes on its bushings under load; whether it be cornering, acceleration, or deceleration. KDT922 minimizes that movement, against at the cost of slightly increased NVH. Which movement do you want to minimize and at what cost?

I went with the KDT925 over the KDT922 because I felt that the two rear diff bushings were the biggest culprit. The trade-off is there is a very slight gear whine in low gear at low speeds, especially when coasting. My radio is loud enough that I don't hear it, so it's worth it to me. Neither is especially difficult or expensive, so start with either one, and if that doesn't meet your needs, do the other one.
