Hi michael and sazu,

It is reported that Malaysians will get their BRZs between June and September of 2012.

We can roughly expect the same for Singapore.

year 15 or 16 will probably have the turbo-charged or supercharged 86 for you to choose from.

Welcome to the forum renyeo !

I sure hope the COE will go down in 2013. Spoke to my uncle who works at Cycle & Carriage yesterday. He told me 2012 COE will be worst than this year. I'm aiming for the 86 actually. Either Orange or White

Catch up with u guys again in a week's time. Flying off to Bandung later for a short get away

Thanks, sazu. White is also my choice of color. Hopefully there will be pearl white or similar. Have a good trip there!

2012 Cat B COE won't be that good.
Cat A will be better, more Cat A due to scrap (those from 2001).

Should we wait for the turbo/supercharged 86 or get the NA first? i'm thinking the resale for the NA ones will be no good once the turbo/supercharged version s are out a few years later.

According to reports, Tada-san, GT-86's chief engineer actually prefer supercharging over turbo.

Regarding resale market, I won't be worrying about it because the GT-86 will always be in demand wherever the car's sold. That said, you need to be one brave soul to drive it across the causeway, haha! Just saying...

And early batches of cars might have kinks (bugs) in them so it can be worthwhile to hold out for a little longer. My 2c...

Nice blue and looks good with the smoked alloys, kinda like "don't mess with me" type.

Sharp Integra you have there.

The Latio has a low level of NVH and great ease of use so I will be concerned about these aspects on the GT-86. Until then, a test drive is the proper way to find out. But then I suppose a sports car has to be markedly different in character. Lol!

Hoping Borneo Motors wouldn't include leather as standard fits because cow hides are basically dead weight and therefore defeats the true purpose of GT-86 which is one of a lightweight purist sportster.

someone on mycarfourm mentioned borneo salesmen estimates a 200k pricetag come apr2012... i'd rather buy a resale BMW 125i coupe (or 350z, or bmw 130i hatch or etc etc - or stretch abit and a resale Elise is within reach)...

i think Akio Toyoda will also tell you don't buy his car at $200k. totally defeats the spirit of the car.

i'd like to have one in grey tho, with either Super Advans or TE37s

Hi mockngbrd, Carbuyer mag places the price at around $160k at current COE prices.

Like you, I am going to walk away at $200k but unlike yours, I will go get a Thai-made year 2013 model Corolla.

I am anticipating that prices will fall to $120k in '15-'16. Until then, I am hoping it's not all a pipe dream! Haha!

$25 grand in America for the BRZ?! To a Singaporean, that's small change and bargain of the century. Darn.
