I have this same setup and passed a 93 dB sound check at a local track where a stock SRT4 wouldn't. My header is the catted version.

Interesting... My header is a catless JDL UEL, so I'd say mine is just a bit louder.

I have JDL Uel, Nameless over/front pipe with hfc, Stock mid pipe, custom aluminum muffler. It's lightweight, sounds great, passes sound, and for driving to far away events I can put the stock muffler on and just swap it at the event.

I have a ace 250 header with hks double res frontpipe. Just switched from stock catback to CSG touring86 this last weekend And it actually got slightly quieter. Still obviously louder then full stock. Just slightly quieter then stock catback with catless header/frontpipe But it cleaned up the exhaust note a lot, much crisper and deeper. Sounds way better now. Cold starts are noticeably quieter. All in all a great upgrade. And the 2.75” piping is awesome for maxing out flow for NA or even going boosted. Fitment is perfect when you make the adjustments how you like. Definitely recommend.

I was surprised at how heavy the stock muffler was; I just recently finally sold that damn thing off. The current axle back I have was one of the very first things I did when I got the car though. I also replaced the factory header and OP/front pipe.

it still sounds very timid but more aggressive if you wind it up. The FT86SF catted UEL isn't quite as UEL as other options though so I think that probably helps the sound levels remain in check.

It is ugly though and the fitment is not optimal (rattles against the tunnel).

What I really want to do is a new custom exhaust, with the stock resonator, and a similar Magnaflow muffler, but one that has a center inlet on the muffler - like a Perrin or TRD (minimize piping). I cannot find one of these mufflers by itself though to save my life, but if I do, I will make it!
Vibrant makes one.

Kinda off topic, but what didn't you like about the Blitz catback? Was it too quiet for you?

It interfered with the Mann Eng rear sway bar mounts, which I installed a while after the Blitz exhaust. So, I couldn't use it anymore. I loved the sound and looks of the Blitz, only thing I didn't like is it was heavy.

Bumping this. Just thinking wouldn't it be better to have more sound suppression in the rear of the car than the front?

I have Ace headers, but then maybe I have a catless FP that only weights 3lbs and noise suppressive setup in the rear for better weight distribution?
