When i purchased my BRZ it cams with nameless overpipe and axleback. I switched back to the stock muffler simply because it was too loud and I now feel the torque dip.

Can i safely assume that I will still be running the E85 stock brz tune? The overpipe is the only engine related mod that I have. If I choose to drop in a filter, will that still allow me to run the stock E85 map or will that put me to the STG 2 map?

Stage 1 E85 map doesn't even exist. Stage 2 E85 also works on a stock car, unlike a stage2 gasoline there is no risk for knock on E85 and it will dial back automatically for the amount of oxygen that flows through the complete system (=AFR).

I bit the bullet and went home the long way today so I could fill up with E85. I was on fumes when I pulled into the station. With the windows up, I started smelling something different within a couple of miles.
I haven't had the chance to get spirited with it yet, but my cruising trims look excellent.
I am worried about the smell though. Do I have an exhaust leak coming into the cabin?

So I filled with E85 did all the stopped, loved it and filled again with a big grin on my face.

But now with the temperature getting colder here, I'm having troubles starting the car, since it takes as much as 8 cranks.... Anything that can be edited inthe tables to I dunno send more fuel or increase ignition ? Thanks

Put in 5l of gasoline before you brim the tank with E85 (true 85%). This makes for E75 ish effectively. This will greatly improve cold starts, mine needs 1-2 cranks just above freezing...

This morning it was mid fifties. First time with E85 and the first time I needed to crank it twice. Not an auspicious sign for cold weather usage.

It's less noticeable if you park in the sun. I park under a car cover, and leave for work at 1pm, even if it is ~80 out when I go to leave, if it dropped down to ~60 the night before I have to crank multiple times. Just tried 1 gallon of 93 yesterday, it started up better this morning. But either the ecu is learning the new blend, or I forgot how rough the engine feels when not running 100% E85.

It has been a while since I played with that sort of thing, but I am back on e85 and my old changes still seem to be working well. The worst I have ever had it was 2 tries to fire. Usually it is vre-vre-vre-vroooommmmmmmm to start which is fast/easier than stock.

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mws6n7lW-8U"]Another cold start. Actual temp: 17° - YouTube[/ame]
The actual temp on this was 17.

Let me see if I can find some of my old tables.

Filmed my cold start this morning (I know, I know, the real problem here is vertical filming). It actually wasn't that bad this morning, but listen a 00:26 and tell me how good that sounds **cries**

mine was doing the same thing, at 80 degrees after a 50 degree night. I think that knock you hear is a backfire, but I could be wrong.

More of an intake burp than a backfire, but it has been determined to be normal on the stock ROM and safe.

Sounds like a mini backfire which I too have experienced in real cold temps with E85 only in tank. Mix to make E70 in those temps & you will be fine & dandy
