It's no different, they use it on Turbo Subarus and I've used it on my Sprintex'd car.

Is anyone else having problems changing the port ratio values in romraider? It would allow me to change the values, but once I go to save the changes the saved file will have reverted back to the original values.

Make sure you are running the latest version of Romraider:

I'm having a strange issue using the port ratio tables in ecuflash. I'll have it set to 25 percent past 3600 rpm but it still reads 0 until 5200 in the logger.

Try upping the user level to advanced or developer

if that fails try using ecuflash but just remember it wont alter lc or ffs parameters

Thanks! That did the trick.

i just bought one of those fancy 'QHD+' laptops, with the 3200x1800 display. Every app i use works great, everything scales as expected and looks decent. Not retina macbook pro type awesome, but good enough.

Romraider however is completely unusable. the text is not scaling at all and all of the buttons etc are teeny tiny. Is there any way to enable some sort of scaling so it'll work on this laptop?

Alternatively, i've been using TunerPro for the last few OFT e-tunes i have to finish up (won't be doing any more lol). I have what i believe to be the latest defs for TunerPro, but when editing australian roms none of the axes have any values on any of the tables. is this normal?

Can to rescale the display back to 1280 by 760 or some other horrible low resolution , does it work then ? (I just use an old clunker for tuning stuff.

Have not used tunepro for ages, not sure if the defs have been updated.

you could try Ecuflash it does not have the defs for Launch and flat foot shift but they are of dubious benefit.

Lowered the port injection ratio. Still knocking. A bit less to a certain extent over the stock 0.2xx but @ 0.000 it knocks more than 0.105. IAT at about 85f. :/

What are you trying to achieve?

Eliminate or at least reduce knock on 91 gas.

Yes. That was the idea. Reduce or eliminate knocking without pulling timing.

I essentially monitor Direct Injection Time Final and/or DI requested volume (the latter of which is only available in an unreleased RaceRom beta, so not much use to most folks). I'll then gradually bring down the PI ratio until i'm ~10-20% under what i consider to be a safe limit (1ml or 6.5ms depending on the param that i have access to).

I used this technique on an NA tune last night and was able to make considerable horsepower up top in the most knock-proned area of the curve. With stock port ratios knock up there was an issue @ ~15-17whp over stock (can't remember the actual timing or AFR values, i'd have to look), and by the time i brought down the port ratio and added a couple other tricks we were at 29whp over stock with no knock in sight.

something to consider trying if you're fighting knock above 6500rpm or so. On an NA car you'll never get close to any limitation, even with 0% port ratio across the board.

I have a feeling this will work better with the table rescaled with higher port ratio at the very upper end of the rev range and lower ratios right below it. If only @jamesm will throw us another bone as to how he achieved his reported results.
