What is the box "Tag User(s)" meant for, found at the top of each thread. Where you can submit user names... where do they go, what happens when you do?
I just tagged myself to find out. But haven't determined, if anything, what happened. |

I found out what it does.
You tagging me, increments the New Thread Tags count in the "Your Notifications" pull down menu. And if I select it, it shows my tags, that you tagged me here, offering the thread to click on. So I take this feature to be "hey, person I know, take a look at this thread I just visited and thought you'd be interested". |
