Lexus is some made up shit from the west coast to distance themselves from the disgusting nature of the Toyota nameplate. How dare the economy brand become an engineering powerhouse and dominate worldwide basic transportation and any racing they decide to participate in. Yeah, that's embarrassing, let's distance ourselves from that and make up a name that sounds like the western word for opulence.
Sorry I wasn't clear. I sort of meant the "Upper" level names. Like Genesis, Acura and Infinity.

since ES is rumored to replace GS for good, i expect the price to go up for the 2019 ES. we'll be looking at close to $50K for a loaded front wheel drive family sedan. i'd get a fully loaded '19 Camry XSE V6 for around $33K.

RIP Aristo. Lexus just copied Acura's move.

All fake names, made up to sidestep their Asian origins for western customers. If I were Asian I'd be offended.

At least Tesla is a well deserved nod to an electrical pioneer and genius.

Even Hummer had a more organic and honest brand name.

Yep! Also to attempt to impart a vision of superiority.

The ES. The epitome of a grandpa car. Don't see that changing. It's worked well for Toyota since the inception of Lexus.

I love it, looks like a baby 2019 LS. I also love the new Avalon's front bumper..

The "aggressive" look is growing on me

Fortunately they never call it by abbreviations internally, they just refer to it as the "K" platform.

C, K, or L platforms.

Lets not confuse the nincompoops with the term "platform" again!
