PS: What's so bad about the rotas? I keep getting a lot of shit for it. I don't really need to save the few pounds for the 37s and it wasn't worth the 1000s more. I think the rotas look pretty good for the price.
Replica wheels are popular and they look great... for a reason. Because they're the "replica" of the original design. IMO, the original manufacturers are the ones that deserve the credit and profit from the design. Not the companies who replicate them. I don't like replica wheels, but that hasn't stopped anyone from rocking what they want. I don't really care what others rock, and I actually tell people to rock what they like proudly. I, for one, will not run replica wheels on my cars. You spent lots of money on other quality non-replica parts such as HKS, Greddy, Stoptech, and etc... why not spend a little more and support the original manufacturer? JMHO

Those brake calipers looked doped and pop as hell btw... I'm jealous...

If the prices were closer I'd agree. The thing is the performance of my Stoptech brakes is crucial, as well as my HKS, less so the Greddy. I'm about getting what I pay for, and I know theres less quality and more weight with the Rota, but I personally don't need that performance. I'd love to be riding some real TE37s, and if the price was closer, or if they just released a similar looking wheel that was heavier and not the same quality I'd purchase the true wheel. Anyways, thanks for the spot and feel free to chat me up any time. Happily give anybody a ride once it's done with the modifications.

But then they would be copying rota and putting out a wheel that doesnt meet their standards. Its like going to a bar and having a choice between the hot chick and her fat friend. Choosing the fat friend wont get you the same high 5s as banging the hottie.

P.s. this is the spotted thread lets keep it on topic.

but the Rota's look the same as the volks te37....The fat friend =/= hot chick!

more like two blonde chicks. from far away they look the same (wheels from a distance look the same), but once you get up close, one is perfect and the other is bucktooth, has an underbite, and cross-eyed with mustache.

My wheels do not have a bucktooth! They may not be a victoria secret super model but they are the hot girl next door. Anyways...glad to finally be spotted.

Lol analogy was in regards to weight and build, not looks.

Saw an Argento FRS on Wilshire Blvd, near Santa Monica parked on Memorial day 5/27 (this is a bit late). It had Toyota badges on it, and I parked in front of it for a few minutes.

This thread jinxed me. I totally scuffed up my passenger front wheel today and since its hyperblack it's gonna be a pain in the ass to fix.
