Also for those who dont know a L33 all aluminum 5.3 with a cam and intake makes around 460hp with longtubes and steering pump. So a delete would push it up to 475ish. L33's go all day for 400-700$...
L33 600
crane cam .590" 115 lsa Lift 350
Ls6 intake, fuel rails, tb 350
ls1 front end drive reloc. kit 170
power steering del pully cheap
etc...
Around 1500$ for a 450-475hp motor.
Look up car craft l33 cam comparison and l33 budget build for more specs.
You could literally sell your stock stuff and swap this in and have money to spare!

I'm currently building a track car with a LS swap, its a bmw since I had it but the concept is the same. I'm using a 5.3L LM7 because it was dirt cheap and can make more then enough power (+400) with simple bolt ons, most are whats needed to get it in a car anyway.

My goal with the build is solid power, no huge but more then anything is simplicity. Its hard to deny the simplicity of a LS motor.

I think people are to quick to jump to the real potent LS variations, not only are they lots more money but the lesser styles can probably meet most peoples needs. I'm sure my 5.3L LM7 is going to be test of traction as it is. As mentioned above the L33 is a great option.

Unless you plan on swapping the steering column, this won't be an issue in a Twin. The electric power steering is integral to the column, so you'd use that and ditch the accessory off the motor.

Yea with 90% of the countries strictest emission laws. Makes not sense to me either...

My points still stand. Enthusiasts don't care about emissions out here, lol.

And why are you responding to a half-year old post now? (After you already responded to my statement previously)

I'd only do it for a drift car or for a daily driver (just burnouts everywhere for shits and giggles lol). The FA20 + a turbo potential is too high to go LSx for a track car for grip driving, IMO. You don't need all that torque & the weight and weight balance, although not MASSIVELY different, will be better with the stock engine. It's just more optimized. Keeps cost down too. Really just depends on what your priorities are...

Don't post often, so didn't pay attention to the date or the previous post. Different than caring about emissions and lack of emissions though
