BRZ SPOILER INSTALL COST

Hey guys, so I recently purchased my new Limited BRZ last week and had ordered the Spoiler along with it from them. I had bought it at a Subaru 3 hours away and didnt know if I would have time to go over there and get it installed by them. They were charging me $130 dollars for the install for 1 hour work. Which isn't bad at all. However I dont have time to go over there and get it installed. I checked with local subaru they are charging about $260 for 2 hours of labor, same rate but more time. I then checked my local Toyota dealership and they are charging me 300+ for 3 hours of work. I want to go to a Subaru and want to get a install done for around 150 to 200 dollars. I would go up to the Subaru I bought it from but its not worth the 3 hours drive plus the 60 dollars gas and food I would have to spend on the trip. I am supposed to get the spoiler in tomorrow afternoon at my house and wont get a chance to install it till Friday. How much did you guys get your spoiler installed for? and How do the priced sound that they are charging me? Does the spoiler install involve any drilling into the trunk? Thanks for your help!

You have a premium not a limited. Limited comes with spoiler stock. You can probably get it installed at a body shop for $100. Most of us would do the install ourselves, and not many would go with a stock spoiler. Welcome to the club.

I was confused by your post for a few seconds. I think you meant your "new BRZ Premium." (Otherwise you'd already have your spoiler.)

Did the same thing. the guy said they drill either 7 or 13 holes, cant quite remember. Cost me too much, but I wanted one bad enough to have the dealer do it asap.

You can tell immediately from the picture that it's not a Limited. No fog lights.

I hope you didn't actually pay for a Limited.

Don't install the spoiler!!! Looks better without it and there are a ton of aftermarket options which look better.

This, a million times this! If you had DGM, I'd be happy to swap decklids for free.

@saif

We really need an update on this. Hopefully you can return the spoiler because ALL Limited's come with the spoiler installed and your picture clearly shows us that you purchased a Premium. Assuming you paid the price of a Limited, they either need to give you about $2k to make up the difference or take the car back and reverse the deal. If they don't play ball, put them on blast on some big car blogs/sites and call up Subaru of America.

I agree. I think it looks much better without the spoiler. I'm almost positive they won't order a car without it for me so maybe swapping with a premium owner would be the way to go. Time will tell.
