i think i might go back to stock suspension for winter. the noises im getting even after going with the whiteline rear end links are frustrating me.

well, from the front drivers side i get a sound like something is loose, but ive double checked everything there, so unless its just a noise from compression on the thrust bearing i've got no clue. from the rear, ive got clunks, and either end link on lca contact or the end link joints are popping. all low speed sounds, little bumps, inclines, turns, just pop pop ping boing.. sounds like i forgot to connect my sway bars, but that's not the case.. this time
i'm on ISC N1 coils, maybe 2" drop, using the supplied end links in the front. hotchkis sways, greased up, whiteline rear end links, stock LCAs. 18x9.5 +38 rpf1's with 225/40 tires. |

fronts are not. no binding though. and the real kicker is i can push down on the strut tower on that side and hear noise, but cannot find any place its coming from.

My rears were stock and the roll bar was at 45deg under load. I used KLC182 from whiteline and now they are probaby 15deg which is still not enough but I know it's not slamming on the endlink when I go over bumps. One thing I did notice while putting on and after a test drive of the new endlinks is the knocking may be coming from the springs compressing and uncompressed. So I need to preload them some more. I was able to wiggle them in the spring perch under load and the knocking noise sounded the same. Not sure if these were your symptoms but maybe some more ideas for you to consider. |
