That's the difference between guys who are into building cars and guys who are into owning cars. I bought the FR-S because I knew I'd have to do lots of stuff to make it what I want it to be. It's the process that I enjoy, not the end result. Some people just want to plop down some money and own a fast car. They have a completely different mindset and the math is different to them.

yeah, i guess i just hate building/working on cars. i just drive them. i mean, ill modify a car when its cheaper than the step up but this doesnt seem to be the case here. for example, my miata probably cost as much as an old s2k but then upkeep is next to nothing. at the point where you would have enough power to need this, a c5 or something is likely to be faster, cheaper and more reliable. guess its just not for me.

I'd rather have a car that someone else just can't go down and buy.

Call me childish but I like the look on peoples faces when I spin 3rd on the highway in a "scion" I built on jackstands in my driveway. Its the little things in life.

The driveshaft is done, we are machining the shift lever bracket and the rear mount and then it is time to fire her up.
We will get some pics once the car is back together. Hopefully next week. |

Some people love to build, some just want to own it. @FullBlown - is this setup with the stock shifter or a short shifter for the v160? Will you be testing it with both? |

We are still working on pricing. You will need a modified bell housing, clutch, adapter plate, mounts, shifter bracket and some other miscellaneous pieces. It will be a spendy kit but, it beats having to constantly replace the OEM unit.
