There is a such thing as spending good money for good parts. That's exactly what I have done. All of the mods I have, have a purpose. Therefore, I see his mods as not having a purpose whatsoever, so I believe it is a waste.

so tell me. is my lightweight crank pulley a stupid mod because I wanted a faster throttle response? was I an idiot when I tuned my car? my headerback? my intake filter? they're all worthless because I don't track my car daily? hmm I never knew that. thank you for enlightening me. because I thought it was the enjoyment of feeling my car perform just that much more, even during commuting. this is a driver's car, after all. but good to know I was a 'moron' and/or 'stupid'.
