They're purging all touchscreens. Besides that, everything else is pretty top notch.

guess it never bothered me, I like both the integrated and floating tablet HU designs Mazda has the best dashboard to door panels blending/integration and their dash designs are classy to me. Oh well, to each his own

Yeah the inboard placement of the rear tail lights doesn't look great, but it seems to fit with the cute design theme Mazda was going for. Wouldn't stop me from buying one if I was interested...

In my opinion I don't care.

Mazda needs some definite help with interior design.
Their interiors on their signature models are rated at luxury levels, and the CX5 with 2.5T holds best in class value and even beats some luxury cars.

Gross. Not even worth considering. That tablet just makes it seem so cheap. I also never noticed the CD slot placement jfc....

Prior design was significantly better.

Does anybody even use CDs anymore?
Is there an 8 track option available?

Unless the headunit supports native DSD files without PCM conversion I would take a CD player any day.

Shitty MP3 files make my ears bleed.

The belt line with the ND Miata is so fucking high they had to black out the A pillars to make it look less hideous.

I'll take a Lantis with a tape deck.

Or better yet get Tom Matano out of retirement.

I actually like the new design better. The bottom dash is too thick n bulky looking. I realize the dualing aesthetics and practicality of placing the MMI higher leaves many people hating this trend, but I think they are doing it no worse than the rest of the industry. Again, Mazda is doing really well on their interiors. This seems almost ubiquitous across professional reviewers.

Holy shit I finally realized there's a CD slot lmfao!

I went to the autoshow two years in a row and never even noticed it's there while sitting inside.

If the disc ever gets jammed in there the owner would be soooo fucked in the wazoo.

Seems silly placed so high and by itself, away from the controls, until it seems genius...
