Austinites - Highly suggest that as soon as you're comfortable with your car you go for a drive on Lime Creek Rd. It's a little back-road in the hill country to the NW of downtown with minimal traffic and plenty of fun turns. It's the perfect place to throw Sport Mode on, get a little loose on some corners and feel the smile spread across your face.

I just did this route and had an absolute blast https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=L...p=4&sz=13&z=12

you're the second person that recommends me that route. i'll have to check it out after break in.

btw, i had the pleasure of being followed by 2 cops today, one after another, they were just checking me out but boy i definitely don't want to be a cop magnet at all. my record is sparkling clean but this car will get me in trouble before i know it since it's high rev engine makes it sound like i'm about to burnout.

I passed three today as well during my drive. If you do head out to Lime Creek, make sure to take it easy at the start - there's usually a cop stationed near Anderson Mill and Lime Creek

I think they're just mostly interested as opposed to waiting for us to get a ticket. As long as you're good - I usually do 10% over speed limit - you should be fine. Just don't give the cops an excuse

Lime Creek is an absolute delight even at legal speeds. The turns are tight enough to keep you on your toes and there isn't any runoff area so if you lose control youre in a ditch/tree.

But damn if it's not fun

100% correct. Follow the limit and then just accelerate out of the apex of the turns when you have a clear line of sight and it's a blast. I may or may not have literally shouted "Woo HOO" like a little girl in my car by myself during the ride...

Hey guys! Looks like I'll be relocating to Austin in about three weeks. My BRZ should get delivered here in San Antonio on the 12 then it's back to ATX. Will this be the first BRZ in the capital city?

Believe so - I was on waiting list at Austin Subaru, but didn't seem like they were getting any in anytime soon. What color?:happy0180:

World Rally Blue! According to the database at my dealer it looks like mine may be the first to arrive unless the ETA has been amended.

Congrats! Hopefully you'll get it soon, and you chose the right color - which package did you get? I stopped by Austin Subaru when they had the demo BRZ there for the Auto Show - I do love the rear spoiler on the BRZ.

I went with Premium. I just couldn't get on board with the spoiler and fog lights. On top of that I don't need heated seats or side mirrors in Texas and I think the other stuff was just fluff and not things that I would miss.
