pulley installed issue
ok so my problem comes by installing perrins pulley i cant pull out my stock pulley maybe is too damn hard or idk.but i couldnt do it my selfso i decided to go to a mechanic and pay him to do it.but he couldnt take it out either and also the idiot was trying to pull it on the wrong way not clockwise,he even try to heat the bolt (idk is this is wrong to do )okay so im asking if someone knows a trick or something to take out my stock pulley and finally installed perrins pulley.my frs is manual.thanks in advance....

no he just heat it up alittle bit.is my first time changing a pulley i didnt thought it will be this difficult i have asked many mechanics and they all say they need to removed the front bumper and vents ......

Heating the bolt? That's the opposite of what he'd need to do.
Just need to pick up a pulley tool that will keep the pulley from rotating while leaning on it with a breaker bar. I was able to remove mine by putting car in 5th gear and cranking on the hand brake as hard as I could. That bolt is seriously on there!

I ended up using my torque wrench to get it loose. It was the only wrench long enough to get the necessary leverage on the bolt.
I bet it had over 125 lbs of torque on it from the factory. |
