Requesting help from experts! Didn't want to make my own thread.

Found out what the loud ping sound was from a few days ago. Thought this was bird poop until I tried wiping it off...

I presume touch up pen isn't enough in this case since it (thinking high speed pebble) cut through clear coat, paint and it's flaking off. May have to zoom in for more detail. It's also dented in a bit. PDR?

I was way more into The Rifleman. I know they're different but I love the feel of an old Winchester 94.

Ouch. I'm not an expert but do get it properly repaired quickly before it starts to rust. The more it shows, the deeper you have to dig to get it all out. Don't paint over even the tiniest bit of rust. Prep and immediately protect.

Yeah, luckily it hasn't rained since Sunday. I'll see what I can do tomorrow. Thinking I may just run to the dealership to get a touch up pen, wax, and paint sealant? Even if it's not 100% match, it beats rust developing.

I can live with the little dent I suppose.

It'll buy you unlimited time to get it done properly without spreading. Save up a few dings and then get them fixed in one fell swoop.

Just before you apply the paint, get in there with some acetone on some cotton gauze to clean out the finger grease and salt. Just a tiny bit.

Man i wish i can see Danny's collection, how you know that about American restoration?

I had that happened on my hood. Just get touch up paint & clear coat. You'll be fine

There were a bunch of fans from "The Virginian" there too. They even had tables set up to meet some of their stars. Think of cosplay but with a western theme!
