Yeah, sorry about that. I edited my previous post to make that clear for anyone else following this thread.

Ok I got the update parts on.
Taking off the black heat shield thing made the hose work a lot easier. As for the sensor, there are 2 holes that matched up perfectly so I threw it there in the pic. I am guessing this is where they intended it to go. The screws worked perfectly. Was easy enough and no leaks. |

What size bolt did you use to mount the sensor? I didn't receive one with my kit.

Yes just below that flange/flare thing. Had to use a file to debur a little so the compression fitting slipped on. Get that bottom piece with the compression ring on first line it up by eye and put the fitting that goes on top with a socket. Compression fittings are 17mm so box wrench on bottom with a 17mm deep socket on top. Then repeat with the 3/4 adapter on top of that.

No padding in my kit. No responses from @Visconti or @Rich@ViscontiTuning Now we learn from someone who has 6 posts that we have to cut the metal line, preventing any option of taking our car back to stock, therefore ruining any chance of having any warranty work done. WOW!

I've been hunting down a proper hose and little wonder John/Rich went with the kit's hose (i.e. took the easy route). The required hose (7.5mm ID/13.5 OD) is FACKING hard to find (here in Aus anyway). Especially one that is compatible with E85. I found one with correct dimension by Codan but the inner tube material (NBR/PVC) isn't E85 compatible. To think, they got all this leaking issues just because they were 1mm off (kit hose is 8.5mm).
Final solution for me will have to be ghetto setup with two bits of OEM pre-bent hoses. Not going to look pretty but definitely wont be any leaks. Also one of the threaded connections near the sensor has a very tiny leak when engine is running. Thankfully I can swap it out with the coupler I couldn't use. Yet another headache to deal with. Good thing they aren't replying - I'd friggin chew their heads off at this point. |

I am probably going to go a different route rather than using the compression sleeve that John sent out. It will involve cutting that bubble flare off, adding a fitting, re-flare and then assemble permanent fitting. You can 'borrow' a flare tool set from most auto parts stores, since it's something that's used so rarely. I need to take the measurements on the hardline to find out what size fittings to get but I'm looking to get this done soon and for good. I've not had any leaks with the clamped version but I'd rather have the peace of mind.

Yeah, that's the plan. I just don't want to have to mess with it again in the future.
