Yeah, I've gotten on Yuki's bad side a few times.
I've got the packaging in my car and plan to drive over to UPS to weigh it when I have free time. But honestly, I'm pretty loaded this week at work (didn't leave the office til after 9pm then went to meet a few FR-S/BRZ owners working in their garage but they didn't have a scale either) but I'll keep trying.

Meh, do what you can do. I appreciate any effort. My car just left Japan today and winter is almost here in Alaska, so I don't plan on doing anything except order parts for the car until Spring. Unless the wheels weigh around 17lbs or less I'm not really interested. I only want them to complete my Dark BRZ theme I'm going for whenever I start to autox, otherwise I'm just going to be a poser with my BRZ (cruising everywhere just to relax and show off).

Paint the outside, but leave the inside if it's carbon

Same as anyone else that purchases a sports car that's mostly used for summer, although one can still get away with RWD year-round if they want. I have 2 RWD vehicles currently and drove a RWD Pathfinder for years before I got my 2.5 RS. The magic has worn off.
Snow drops mid-to-late-October, sometimes early November and leaves early-to-mid-April, sometimes late March. |

@Turbowned, @chanomatik, @ngabdala. I weighed the packaging today then subtracted it from the total weight of the packaging+wheel. Approximate weight of one black STI wheel is 18.4 lbs.

Thanks, switch! Hmmm... 18.4lbs... for 17x7.5... Some 18x8 wheels come in at that weight or even lighter for much less and with a more aggressive offset. That's really going to depend on how much I like the look of those wheels... Which I do a lot. hahaha
We appreciate your getting us that info. I'll be sure to share it in other threads. |

18x7.5 STI wheels were just released.
Not much more than their 17" counterparts concerning price. |

Yeah, I told Yuki to add this to their catalog this past Thursday night. The wheel alone looks better in 18" but the meatier sidewall of my 17s will work better for the aesthetic mods I have planned. Kinda disappointed the 18s aren't wider/more offset but since these wheels aren't super light it's unwise for STI to add width. I've no crazy power mods planned so I want to preserve every bit of hp I can with 17s. The gymkhana Exmotion BRZ (same driver as the BRZ GT300) has 17" Volks and the VLN FT-86 from 2011 and this year's title-winning VLN GT 86s had 17" BBS wheels. 17s are the optimal wheel with which this car was engineered for performance plus comfier; 18s err towards aesthetics.
