BRZ Small Overlap Crash Test

Good to see that the BRZ achieved an "Acceptable" rating ... even if they can't spell it properly. The test dummy in the BRZ fared much better than the other cars in the first video:

OK I probably have a really weird take on this for multiple reasons...

I have been doing healthcare since 1999, so I do feel qualified to comment...

We want all these safer cars for everyone involved, but one of the simplest ways for a car to be safer is mass.

We complain how the current Civic weighs more and is bigger than a 90's Accord.

My favorite car ever to drive are AW-11 MR2s...and I would imagine they are death traps...

So as enthusiast...we want lighter more "pure cars" but in sadly "Tanks" are generally safer in crashes.

We also complain about how with pedestrian safety laws, cars of yesteryear would never be allowed to be produced now (pop up lights for instance).

So I really don't know how I feel about this. But interesting videos nonetheless.

What about this example that I'm sure everyone has seen?

The Bel Air is 3000+ pounds, isn't it?
I think the Malibu and Bel Air are fairly similar in weight.

Lol at the Lincoln when the dummy completely misses the steering wheel airbag.
