Another thing.. Stupid VA Laws.
During state inspection , and they test my high beam, I would have 8 lights on.. As fog light doesn't go off with high beam on. ( I have diode dynamic fog light.)

That will get you failed at more strict inspection places. I had aftermarket OEM style fog lights on an old car that didn't turn off when high beams were activated and the inspector failed my car because of it. He re-failed it after I thought I could hide the fog light switch - he said "if the fog lights are installed on the vehicle without an operating switch, they are illegal." So I had to figure out a relay wiring harness to get those sumbitches to turn off.

But I think the VA law is worded to say something like "no more than 4 forward driving lights," which would exclude the turn signals, as those are for indicating purposes only.

By law, every vehicle's fog lights should turn off when high beams are activated. If not by law, then by common sense, you should never need your high beams in foggy situations (if you've driven through thick fog and snow, you'll know that high beams and even low beams can actually hurt your ability to see the road).

If all you're using your fog lights for is hard parking and looking cool, then hope that you get a more lenient inspector. There are some shops in nova that will overlook some stuff because they are enthusiasts...

Do you know any places that are lenient with the inspector?
Thanks.

No idea. Maybe a vendor on this board can help point you in the right direction?

Just a few thought..

My vehicle inspection is not until December of 2014..
My Foglights from Diode Dynamics turn on even with the highbeam on, what are the chances of me failing the state inspection?

1. The law isn't likely to change from now until December.
2. Likely, but again, it depends on how lenient your inspector is.
