Lupus Grand Prix @ Goodwood Kartways

Hey everyone! With the summer coming to a close, the team at Pinnacle Advanced Driving Academy (PADA) is taking part in the Lupus Grand Prix endurance karting race in support of Sick Kids Foundation in the fight against the disease known as Lupus!

PADA Alfa team is already full (4 drivers) but that doesn't mean you guys can't enter an 86 team!

Seeing if I can get a team together. I compete in Arrive and Drive at Goodwood so I have a suit and helmet, but the rest of my team doesn't. Are rentals available or do they have to bring their own gear?

I haven't done the Lupus GP at Goodwood but last year when they ran it at Mosport, they had helmets, neck braces and suits for those that didn't.

I suspect a facility like Goodwood would also do the same.

Goodwood and Mosport Kartways are the same owner, so I'd imagine you'd get an identical experience.

What does this mean?

PADA's team each donated $100 for a total of $400 to gain entry to the event (all entry dollars are donated to the Lupus GP event and I believe it is going to Sick Kids direct).

Finally got off my lazy butt and put together the video from the Lupus GP.

Sadly while our team drove well, we went through a lot of mechanical issues. In my session my brake pedal was seized at 100% halfway through and took them two pit stops to figure out why.

The same pedal they "fixed" then completely fell off in our 3rd driver stint.

We went from all the brakes to no brakes hahahaha.

Oh well, it was still a great facility and for a good cause!
