Iphone/message transfer connection and nav ayatem

Hi guys,
Just got my BRZ two day ago and love it. My issue is I phone connection with the system, MY Iphone 4 syncs fine music work and actual phone but the text messages wont transfer haven't worked yet.

Any suggestions?

Also the navigation leaves something to be desired, losing signal alot.

Any suggestions with the text messages would be much appreciated

Marie

There are a couple of threads on the Nav issues, one here in general and another in the electronics section.

My nav system has worked better for me in the last week, I did a 200 mile trip on Saturday with no issues at all even in a very wooded and hilly area.

Bluetooth MAP profile support isn't coming until iOS 6. There is definitely a signal issue with the nav, it drops all over the place for everyone. Make sure to tell your dealer so they know a lot of people are having this issue.

I just remember seeing it in one of the articles about iOS6, here's a few articles that mention it.

Of course this doesn't mean it will work with the nav... maybe someone has the developer beta or an android phone and can try it out.

FYI, I've been running IOS6 for a few months (betas up until recently) and I get texts on the screen. It doesn't always work, but it works a lot.

Anyone been able to actually reply using the on-screen options? I can occasionally listen to texts when the car/phone decide it's cool but haven't once been able to get a reply to work without an error message.

I haven't tried to reply. When I saw that you can only choose the canned responses, I was turned off. I'll try today though.

it lets you type your own if you are stopped. I didn't see an option for a voice input text though which seems kind of backwards since hyundai, ford and bmw all have that.
